Paths to and from Kronburg
The pilgrimage site of Kronburg can be reached on foot from the Zams hamlet of Rifenal in a good half hour. For a longer walk, start at the parking area on the Trams or at the parish church in Landeck. Of course, you can also set off on a hike from Kronburg itself – up to the Venet, to the hamlet of Falterschein or through the spectacular Kronburg gorge.
Ancient energy
At every turn: steep castle cliffs, meadows, forests and the Kronburg gorge – only a few meters wide but up to 70 meters deep – are of an almost mystical beauty. In sunshine, fog or snow, quiet observation brings you very close to the spectacle of nature.
Tip for families
A narrow, well-maintained path leads up from the parking area to the Kronburg castle ruins in about 15 minutes. The walk is rewarded with a magnificent view over the Inn Valley and the surrounding mountains.
The remains of the once-magnificent castle conjure up the spirit of bygone times and are (for the most part) freely accessible.
A stopover and pilgrimage destination
Its location on the great European long-distance trails E5 and Via Claudia Augusta, on the Starkenberg panorama trail and on the Way of St. James makes Klostergut Kronburg a popular stopover, dining spot and place to spend the night.
Whatever the mission – crossing the Alps, a search for God or, quite simply, for oneself – hikers and pilgrims always take a little of Kronburg's strength with them on their onward personal journey.

A blooming oasis of calm
Finding yourself in the Kneipp rose labyrinth
Why look far afield when happiness lies just around the corner? Between the inn and the Klösterle, our little paradise is in bloom. The Kneipp labyrinth with its rose garden invites you to combine healthy water treading with the enjoyment of nature and relaxation on the lawn.
Cold water as a source of health, energy and joy is also on offer at the fountain in front of the inn. Its wooden trough is perfect for an invigorating arm bath.
