What defines our energy community:
Through the step-by-step installation of photovoltaic systems, numerous sites of the order are now supplied with self-generated solar power.
This covers a growing share of our own energy needs while making a clear contribution to reducing emissions and protecting the climate and natural resources. Pooling all the PV systems creates a shared energy network that delivers solar power to wherever it is needed across the order.
Each system feeds in its share, and surpluses are used collectively or passed on.
This approach strengthens regional value creation, increases energy independence and forms a stable basis for the further development of our energy supply.
What this step means for our institutions…
By expanding our own solar energy, we strengthen our long-term security of supply and reduce our ecological footprint.
At present, 12 company sites are powered by self-generated green electricity. Around 1,900 employees work at these sites in the medical, social, educational and hospitality sectors.
The shared use of the electricity generated supports a far-reaching network that takes responsibility every day for people in a wide range of life situations.
