An invitation to slow down
Perhaps it is the grace of the place, the timeless beauty of the architecture. Above all, it is the hospitality of the Sisters of Mercy of Zams, who have owned and run the monastery estate since 2005. Here visitors find what everyday life so often lacks: peace, leisure, time to linger, to talk, to enjoy a fine meal and much more.
Gasthof Kronburg
A traditional Tyrolean inn with excellent regional cuisine, rustic parlors, a banquet hall and guest rooms.
Galerie Kronburg
A charming art gallery with changing exhibitions by regional and international artists – free entry.
Klösterle Seminar Center
The spiritual heart of the monastery estate, with guest rooms, prayer rooms and seminar facilities.
Maria Hilf Pilgrimage Church
A baroque gem from the 18th century and a popular destination for the faithful and those in search of meaning.
Kronburg Castle Ruins
A striking 14th-century castle complex with a magnificent view over the Inntal.
At Gasthof Kronburg we celebrate Tyrol's culinary heritage. Whether you drop in spontaneously, enjoy a refined meal or hold a celebration, the quality, service and atmosphere are just right. On special evenings, fine food is paired with musical treats.
Galerie Kronburg presents remarkable exhibitions by regional and international artists. Drop by at an opening or at your leisure during the exhibition weeks that follow, and give yourself over to discovering, marveling and reflecting.
The roughly 15-minute climb along the restored path to the castle ruins is a highlight for families. At the top, adventurous scenery and superb panoramic views await. Many other hiking and biking trails start at Kronburg or pass right by it.
Services are held regularly in the Maria Hilf Pilgrimage Church, along with a warm invitation to join in. During the day the door stands open to pilgrims and to anyone seeking a moment of peace and reflection.
A fresh breeze within old walls
Like castles, churches and monasteries have always been built in special places. Sheltered by two mountain ridges yet open to the wide horizon, the buildings of the hamlet of Kronburg are thoughtfully aligned and attuned to one another. A cultural focal point of the Oberland for thousands of years, Kronburg has since 2005 been infused with the spirit of the Vincentian spirituality of the Sisters of Mercy.
